The long-term vision is a cannabis retail experience where consumers don't have to choose between quality and their values.

Why Cannabis?
Cannabis legalization created an enormous economic opportunity. But legalization didn't erase the harm created by decades of targeted criminalization, incarceration, and economic exclusion. The same communities that experienced the greatest harm have not automatically received the greatest opportunity from legalization.
I believe the cannabis industry can be part of the repair.
But that requires more than putting the words “social equity” on a business plan. It requires building equity into how the business operates.
A Different Kind of Cannabis Business
Itz Personal is being designed around a simple idea: Every purchase should have the potential to do more than generate revenue.
We're building toward a premium cannabis retail experience that connects consumer spending to racial equity and community investment.
That means thinking differently about:
Where the Money Goes
A portion of revenue will support Black-led economic development, healing, and community advancement.
What We Sell
Premium cannabis products, education, and experiences with quality and conscious consumption at the center.
Who We Source From
A strong emphasis on Black-owned cannabis businesses and suppliers, creating opportunities for Black economic participation throughout the supply chain.
How We Show Our Impact
We're developing a Where Your Money Goes™ Transparency Tracker to connect purchases to the community impact they help create.
The goal is to make impact something consumers can understand and hold us accountable for, not simply something a business claims.
More than a Dispensary
I don't want to build another cannabis store.
I want to build a business that demonstrates what cannabis retail can look like when racial equity, quality, accountability, and community impact are treated as part of the business model.
That includes a future retail experience designed around:
Premium cannabis
Education
Conscious consumption
Community
Black economic power
Measurable impact
The vision includes a Minneapolis flagship retail location and consumption lounge.
But the storefront is only one part of the vision.
The larger goal is to create a model for how commerce can become a pathway for repair.
The Work Starts Before the Storefront
I'm not waiting for a retail license to begin doing the work.
Right now, I'm building the knowledge, relationships, partnerships, ideas, and infrastructure that will make the larger vision possible.
That includes:
Working in cannabis and learning the realities of dispensary operations
Developing education around values-aligned spending
Supporting mission-driven organizations and entrepreneurs
Building relationships across the cannabis and social-impact ecosystems
Exploring what intentional organizational culture looks like in cannabis
Developing the strategy and infrastructure behind the future business
This is a long-term build.
I'm building it intentionally.
What We're Building Toward
Ultimately, I want Itz Personal to demonstrate that a business can be:
Values-driven without sacrificing quality.
Premium without being extractive.
Profitable without abandoning purpose.
Community-centered without losing operational discipline.
And most importantly:
A business can create value for its customers while helping create value for the communities that have historically been denied it.

Our Story: Itz Personal
Hello, I’m Tyjuan Morrow, and this is the story behind Itz Personal.
For me, cannabis is more than a product; it’s a profound part of my life and culture, serving as an important source of healing and opportunity. However, its criminalization deeply harmed my family and community. When legalization began, I felt conflicted: while some profit out of upscale dispensaries, my brothers and so many others are still dealing with the lasting impact of past convictions. I'm frustrated by the lack of representation and investment in Black communities.
My healing journey with cannabis started with home growing alongside my brothers - a powerful, full-circle moment after years of harm. With 15 years spent in social equity and community organizing, I realized I could combine my passion for cannabis with my commitment to justice and build a business rooted in healing, empowerment, and equity. That business is Itz Personal.
The Commitment
I recognize a deep flaw in this industry: while it is projected to surpass $70 billion by 2030, it was built off the promise of repair for the Black community who still face racially biased enforcement. State equity programs have proven insufficient, leaving less than 2% of the industry Black-Owned.
That’s why I designed Itz Personal as a social enterprise. We will transform every purchase into a verified racial equity investment. Every time you buy from us, a percentage of the sale will automatically flow to a community racial equity initiative and we will exclusively source high-quality, branded cannabis products from Black cannabis suppliers. The goal is simple: Give cannabis consumers convenient, trusted pathways to support racial equity, healing, and liberation.
