I'm Tyjuan Morrow.
I'm a strategist, facilitator, social entrepreneur, and founder of Itz Personal.
My work sits at the intersection of people, strategy, social equity, and cannabis.
For more than 15 years, I've worked in and around social equity, community organizing, leadership development, strategy, and social impact. I've supported people and organizations trying to create meaningful change, and I've spent a lot of time thinking about what it actually takes to turn good intentions into something that can last.
That question has increasingly shaped my work:
How do we build organizations, businesses, and communities that actually reflect what we say we value?
Why This Work Is Personal
My relationship with cannabis is deeply connected to my family, my community, and my own understanding of healing and opportunity.
Cannabis has been part of my life for years. But so has the harm created by its criminalization.
I've watched people I love and communities I care about experience the consequences of a system that treated cannabis as a reason for punishment while creating new opportunities for others to profit from the same plant.
When legalization began, I found myself wrestling with what it meant to watch a new industry emerge from that history.
I didn't want to simply participate in the industry.
I wanted to think about what it could become.
Bringing the Pieces Together
Over time, the different parts of my experience have started to converge.
My work in social equity taught me to look closely at systems and who benefits from them.
My work with organizations taught me how much culture, leadership, strategy, and people matter to whether an idea actually succeeds.
My experience in cannabis showed me both the possibilities of this emerging industry and the work still needed to make equity more than a promise.
And building Itz Personal has given me a place to bring those ideas together.
Today, I'm exploring how values, people, strategy, and impact can work together to create something different.
What I Believe
I believe our values should show up in more than what we say.
They should influence:
How we lead.
How we build.
How we spend.
Who we partner with.
Who benefits.
And what kind of future we're helping create.
I'm not interested in perfection. I'm interested in intention, accountability, and practice.
For me, social equity isn't simply a statement of belief. It's something we have to build into the decisions, relationships, systems, and structures we create.
Building in Public
Itz Personal is still becoming.
I'm learning, experimenting, building relationships, testing ideas, developing new work, and figuring out what it takes to turn a vision into something real.
That journey is part of the work.
I don't have every answer. But I do have questions worth exploring, experiences worth sharing, and a vision worth building.
